About EOR Portugal
Your people in Portugal,
employed by our own company.
EOR Portugal puts staff on a Portuguese contract for companies based elsewhere. The employer is our own sociedade unipessoal por quotas, registered in Lisbon, and every client has one named specialist. There is no reseller in the middle, no portal to learn and no bot answering you.
Taking one person on in another country should not require a new company, a certified accountant and six weeks of registrations. It should start with a conversation with people who already run Portuguese payroll every month.
Our story
How EOR Portugal began
The same request kept reaching us. A company abroad had found one or two people in Portugal and wanted to employ them properly, but the only routes on offer were an expensive local subsidiary or a global platform with no real connection to the country.
So we built a third route. Our own Portuguese company, a sociedade unipessoal por quotas entered on the Registo Comercial in Lisbon, is the employer, which means a signed contract and a start date in days instead of months.

Why owning the employing company matters
The difference you notice first
2022
The year we started
Set up to make a single hire in Portugal as ordinary as a hire at home.
1
Named contact per client
The person who drafts your first contract still answers your payroll questions two years later.
€499
Per employee each month
No set-up fee, no percentage of salary and no Portuguese company for you to register.
How we work
What we hold ourselves to
We are a small team covering one country thoroughly, rather than a platform stretched thin across fifty.
The employing company is ours
Your staff are employed by our own Portuguese company. Nobody sits between us, so when something needs sorting we sort it ourselves.
The same person each time
One specialist covers your account from the first contract, through payroll questions, to the day someone leaves.
A person picks up
Ask about notice periods, subsidies or a line on a payslip and the reply comes from someone who knows the answer, usually within the working day.
Quick, but nothing skipped
We move quickly once your details arrive, and the registrations, the accident insurance and the written terms are still done in full.
We fit around your plans
A first hire, a growing team or a wind-down are all handled the same way, with no rigid platform to work around.
A fee you can forecast
One monthly fee for each employee, from €499. No set-up cost, no surprise line items and no minimum headcount.
Who you deal with
The people behind your Portugal payroll
Each account is run by a handful of people, so whoever picks up already knows your contracts, your payroll history and what you asked about last month.
Your named specialist
The same contact from your first hire onwards. They know your team and your contracts, and they usually reply the same working day.
Payroll and filings
Monthly payroll with IRS withheld for the Autoridade Tributária, plus TSU of 23.75% employer and 11% employee paid to Segurança Social.
HR for your employees
Holiday, sick notes, contract changes and the everyday questions your staff ask, all answered under the Código do Trabalho.
Contracts and first days
Contract drafted, Segurança Social notified before the start date and the compulsory workplace accident insurance in place, all before anyone begins.
Our registered office
Where the company is registered
EOR Portugal is entered on the Registo Comercial with its own NIPC, and its registered office is in Lisbon. Employees are hired anywhere in the country, from Braga and Porto down to Coimbra, Lisbon and Faro.
